San Diego's Coolest Neighborhood
Young professionals, hipsters and students hang out in the trendy neighborhood of North Park. There you’ll find coffee shops, craft-beer bars and hip boutiques up and down University Avenue. There is a lot of restaurants, upscale pubs, taquerias and sushi lounges to choose from. The Observatory North Park, a 1929 theater that hosts rap, rock and electronica is often at the center of the nightlife scene.
The North Park area has amazing character in its homes with many 1920’s craftsman-style homes still standing and many updated or restored to their former glory. These homes adorn this walkable neighborhood and allow its residents to enjoy the sites, shops and lifestyle without a trip to the 5, the local freeway that runs North and South, connecting the different area of San Diego. For many that call North Park home, it’s proximity to almost anywhere in and around San Diego, is one of its greatest appeals. Whatever you look for in a neighborhood, San Diego’s North Park surely has it.
