Downtown San Diego is fun and easily walkable with access to the city’s public transit system. Walk the Embercado or catch a show at the performing arts venue, the Grand Civic Theatre. On the bayfront, you can see the ships at the Maritime Museum and vintage planes on the USS Midway, plus shops at Seaport Village. The Museum of Contemporary Art has 20th-century works to view or take the ferry to Coronado.
